I often have mental goals of where I would like to be on a project when I plan posts. Unfortunately, since things always take longer than I hope, this tends to lead to a boring blog. For example, I currently have 8 blocks completed for the Toyko subway quilt and have been holding off posting until I have 9 for awhile now. I just wanted to have the nice completed square! So here you have it - the 8 finished blocks!
I'm loving how this looks. It's so geometric and me. :) It's a shame these blocks are so time consuming. It really makes it difficult to gain motivation and momentum to finish this quilt. I had a goal to finish one a week that I was able to meet a couple weeks, but then I fell off the bandwagon. I have 8 of 25 done - not even halfway there. Sadness.

Love the quilt progress -- looks great!
It's so funny, I have the same thing happening with my blog. Sometimes I have all of these ideas, then I'll post a ton. Then I run out of ideas, get busy, blah blah blah. I've been better about it lately, but I can totally sympathize!
I'm in the same boat with you. But, I will say this, I'd much rather wait for some good information and pictures than just a lot of chatter.
I love this quilt and wish I would have participated in the quilt-along too. Yours looks terrific!
Hmm, I think sewing white squares together when a large patch or strip piecing would have worked would drive me bonkers :) Can you strip piece some of the white areas and use the cut white squares for narrow spaces between colours? Anything so you don't give up!
I do the same thing; I am loathe to blog about a quilt until it is done. So, I go for long periods of time with no entries.
I figured that Tokyo quilt would be time consuming; I, too, like the look of it, but knew I wouldn't have the time to ever really get it done. Yours is shaping up wonderfully. :)
I've always admired this pattern. Yours looks great. And we all fall off the bandwagon sometimes. At least you have 8 done. Better than I! ;)
